As anglers returned from their fishing expeditions on September 7, 2025, several boats reported fruitful catches in the offshore waters of San Diego. The Highliner, on its two-day trip, had a successful haul, bringing back 13 Yellowfin Tuna, 16 Yellowtail, and a variety of other species. "The team had a great time, and the fish are there if you put in the effort," said the captain of the Highliner, reflecting on their productive outing.

Other vessels were similarly successful as the Tribute finished its 1.5 Day trip with 10 Bluefin Tuna and 3 Yellowtail. "It was a solid trip with some great weather for fishing, and we were able to find some very nice bluefin," remarked the captain of the Tribute.

The Pacifica followed suit, returning from its 1.5 Day trip with a Bluefin, a Yellowfin, and a Dorado, showcasing the variety of fish available offshore.

The Pacific Voyager returned from their two-day journey with an impressive 19 Bluefin Tuna, indicating that these fish continue to be a popular target for anglers in the area.

In a dedicated full day offshore charter, the Sea Watch had a productive outing, concluding their trip with 7 Bluefin Tuna. "The group really came together and made the most of the day. The bluefin were active, and we had a fantastic time on the water," said the captain, highlighting the enjoyable experience for their anglers.

On a shorter note, the New Seaforth, during its recent 3/4 Day charter, reported a catch of 4 Yellowtail, 20 Calico Bass, and additional species including 8 Sheephead and 1 Halibut, bringing smiles to the 40 anglers onboard. "Everyone caught fish and had a blast, which is what we always aim for on these trips," shared the crew member as they helped unload the catch.

The New Seaforth also conducted a twilight trip on Saturday night, finishing with 1 Yellowtail, 19 Bonito, and several other fish, though they released 40 Calico Bass. "Twilight trips provide a different experience, and it was nice to see the variety of fish still active late into the evening," the crew commented.
