"Nikki Sutton on Strike secured the top position with a remarkable catch of a 9.08kg Golden Trevally," said a tournament spokesperson. Matt Gates, aboard Fatal Attraction, was a close runner-up with his 8kg Golden Trevally.
Section 2 saw similar competitiveness, as Kalvin Gates from Fatal Attraction took home the winner's title with a 7.9kg Mahi Mahi. "Nikki Sutton on Strike also had a notable entry, weighing in at 7.82kg," the speaker noted, underscoring the skill level present in the tournament.

Shark tagging excitement peaked in Section 8, where Awesum tagged 7 sharks across 6 line classes for a total of 1250 points. "On Strike closely pursued with 5 tags across 5 line classes, landing 500 points," the spokesperson stated.
In the youth categories, the Champion Small Fry Angler accolade went to Luke Mounsey from Awesum, showcasing his abilities with 6 species across 7 line classes for 4940 points, surpassing Dean Gates from Fatal Attraction. Meanwhile, Ashton Showman emerged as the Champion Junior Angler, neatly beating out Kalvin Gates in the under-16 category.
