Jayco is preparing to unveil its latest full-height CrossTrak off-grid caravan model at the 2026 Victorian Caravan Supershow, anticipated for February next year. This full-size caravan represents an evolution from its earlier hybrid pop-top versions, which were first introduced in 2019. Initial models focused on compactness and convenience, featuring a spacious external kitchen recess and an external shower tent. Since then, however, the CrossTrak has transformed, becoming increasingly caravan-like while enhancing its suitability for off-grid camping.
The new full-height CrossTrak model follows the design principles established in the updated 2026 pop-top version, first showcased at the 2025 Melbourne Leisurefest. "The new CrossTrak caravan will retain the contemporary aesthetic, which includes the latest dune exterior color and features like a black front toolbox and a rear platform bar," said a Jayco representative. Enhancements such as the Cruisemaster DO-35 coupling and JTECH 2.0 independent coil suspension underline the model's rugged intent.
Jayco has yet to reveal specific pricing or detailed specifications but promises that the new CrossTrak will come fully equipped for off-grid adventures. Among its standout features will be a robust 300Ah lithium battery system, complemented by four 260W rooftop solar panels and a 3000W inverter. A user-friendly four-inch touchscreen will allow campers to monitor their systems with ease.
As for comfort, the CrossTrak will include a Cloud 9 pillowtop mattress for the queen bed, a roof-mounted air conditioner for cooling on hot days, and a sizeable 153L fridge. "In addition, on-demand hot water, leatherette seating, and a dust reduction unit will enhance the overall camping experience," added the spokesperson, who noted customizable options such as a 48V off-grid power system and airbag suspension to cater to diverse user preferences.
One of the exciting developments for the new model is the introduction of a large slide-out kitchen, expanding culinary possibilities for campers. "The slide-out kitchen will significantly enhance functionality and convenience during trips, alongside a well-appointed inside kitchenette," the representative stated, emphasizing the design's focus on differentiation from other Jayco off-road caravans.
Currently, Jayco features two distinct CrossTrak layouts available on its website, both designed with rear ensuites. The 17-foot layout caters to couples seeking intimacy and utility, while the 18-foot version offers additional versatility with a dinette that converts into another bed. "For anyone interested in deeper details or looking to order one, we encourage them to connect with their local Jayco dealer," noted the representative.
As anticipation builds for the debut of the CrossTrak at the caravan show, enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting further announcements. The caravan industry continues to thrive, reflecting a growing passion for outdoor exploration and a desire for comfort while camping. Jayco’s latest offerings, including the innovative CrossTrak, suggest that 2026 will be a significant year for caravan enthusiasts eager to embark on their next adventure.
